  • Discover your Inner Hidden Power

Sometimes we can feel powerless. Powerless over life, powerless against other people, and even powerless over our own minds that can be causing great distress but we all have a hidden power, one that is always there, but often goes unrecognised because it has no form. The power is your attention!! Your attention has the power to completely alter your life experience. If I am paying attention to what I don’t like about myself, my life, or another person, all of my power becomes drawn into that. The power makes these negative things grow in my experience, and they feel as if they are my world. If I am paying attention to what I appreciate about myself, my life, or another person, then these more positive feelings begin to flood through my system, radiate out, and become the foundation of my life experience. We can all have the habit of letting our attention become dragged into anything that we can deem undesirable. Our primal minds are designed for survival – to look for problems and focus on them until they are fixed. This can work if there is an intruder in my cave, or a predator waiting for me to walk out into the night, but in our modern-day lives, with our modern-day minds, it’s not so practical. Super Brains Since we have much more sophisticated imaginations than our evolutionary ancestors, now instead of dealing with undesirable things in the moment as they occur, we tend to imagine them and then try to deal with them in our heads beforehand. It isn’t real. We focus on the problem, the problem, the imaginary problem, but it never seems to get resolved. The mental loop just restarts itself. We are often raised with the idea that you have to focus on bad things to help stop them from happening. This belief or assumption can be there in our subconscious minds. Why else would we ever be negative, worried or deeply concerned? Because we think it will help. We are trying to help the universe to fix things, by paying attention to what we don’t want to happen. If we really want to help out the universe, projecting negativity into it won’t help much. If we want to be in harmony with the intelligence of the whole, it can help to no longer push back on what we don’t want to happen or what you don’t like about our life. When you aren’t pushing back, you aren’t resisting, and when you aren’t resisting, you are in a much lighter space. From there your attention starts to become free again. It becomes something you can direct. If there is a much more pleasant potential scenario you wish to place your attention on (rather than imagining the worst), then you can, even if it’s only in your mind. And once you start to place your attention on any positive creative desires within you, as if they are already here, then you start to become a beacon for that same energy to return itself to you. This doesn’t mean that you can never deal with life or things in the moment as they arise. It actually means you are free to deal with things more smoothly, without the same constricting negativity that might have previously strangled your intelligence. “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete — Buckminster Fuller Imagine a cell in a body that became very negative, cut off from the rest of the body, focussing on all the things it didn’t like about the body. This cell might start to cause problems, for itself and for the whole system. It’s hard for a cell like that to find solutions to things. Now imagine a cell in harmony with the whole, not needing to negatively focus on things it doesn’t want to happen. This cell would probably have a much better life, and could deal with things much more easily if needed. Which cell would you rather be? Free up your power. Give yourself a rest from being negative so that positive things can happen. Use your attention wisely, and keep it out of the muck. Let it be a creative force for good, rather than an empowering force for what you don’t want.

  • Spiritual Self Confidence

It is very important to have self-confidence. It's even more important to have Spiritual Self Confidence. Spiritual confidence is that unique and palpable sense of absolute conviction that cannot be affected by external or internal fluctuations. It's being absolutely sure. It's knowing, before you know, that you know. It's the highest gift and blessing that comes only from the deepest insight into the true nature of things. It can also be the most precious jewel that is freely transmitted from the awakened heart and mind of a true spiritual master to any and all who would receive it. Absolute conviction destroys existential doubt and frees the human soul. Eastern traditions say that doubt is one of the biggest obstacles to the profound discovery of enlightened awareness. The sparkle of ecstatic conviction in the eyes of a saint expresses the liberating joy and fearlessness that are testimony to powerful spiritual self-confidence. Unfortunately, madmen, monsters, and megalomaniacs from the East and the West also gain their power from absolute self-confidence. But that's not confidence that comes from knowing that mystery which is ungraspable. More often than not, it's a confidence that comes from fear, overwhelming arrogance, the puny ego, or from ethnocentric pride. It's a confidence that comes from a desire for power and aspiration to dominate. The kind of spiritual confidence I'm speaking about comes from a very different source and from a very different part of the self. Some people claim that absolute conviction of any kind is dangerous and should never be trusted. But the kinds of people who make those assertions are hypocrites. They are hypocrites because they stubbornly express an absolute conviction in their own perspective while simultaneously proclaiming to others the futility of such a position! Spiritual confidence is the heaviest anchor in the midst of the unending storm that is life and death. It is unshakable confidence in the inherent rightness of being here -- confidence in the rightness of finding oneself in the very middle of the life process, even in all its chaos and complexity. Having this kind of confidence is of the utmost importance for anyone who is convinced that they deeply care about the way things are -- and even more so for the bold and courageous warrior who wants to create something truly new, who would dare to be the one to step forward, to stand for and bear witness to that which is higher. It's especially important to have this kind of confidence in times like these when there is so much turbulence and individual and collective insecurity about survival. Without this kind of confidence as a constant reference point, we may find ourselves at times without the emotional, psychological, or spiritual resources to fight the good fight. And those who care more than anything else about the perennial quest to transform the world into a powerful reflection of that which is sacred cannot afford to allow even a moment of doubt or fear to overshadow their soul. Why? Because that may be the one moment that counted the most! In other words, we can't afford not to have spiritual self-confidence if we want to change our world and the world around us. The kind of powerful conviction that I am referring to fills one's heart with a sense of love that is not dependent on external circumstances for its fullness. It's a love that is unshakable, unmoving, and indestructible. Such love -- a love that transcends yet simultaneously embraces the world -- is what compels human beings to evolve, from their own deepest depths, and to become better citizens of our world and our cosmos. Knowing the mysterious source of that love is knowing before thought that life is good. That inherent goodness is who we really are. And that's what we discover in deepest revelation.

  • Giving Without Expectations

Some people say there’s no such thing as a selfless act - that any time we do something to help another person, we get something in return, even if it’s just a warm fuzzy feeling. I have spent a lot of time playing with this idea in my head and it doesn't really bother me to know it feels good to help someone else. That, to me, is completely acceptable. What gives me cause for concern are the underlying expectations we often have when we give “selflessly.” We’ve all been there. You cover for a friend because you know you will need their help at some point. You give someone money to help them out then silently look for ways they can pay you back, even if not monetarily. You help your friend get leads for a job and then feel angry when they are not as proactive in offering you support. I’ve found that these expectations cause more stress than joy. They mar the act of giving, which makes us all slightly guilty, they lead to disappointment if the person we have helped doesn’t return the kindness; and they tie our intentions to an internal score card, which places a wedge in our relationships with others. Recently I’ve been asking myself, “What is my expectation?” before I do something for another person. The answer I find most acceptable, cheesy as it may sound, is to feel good and show love. Strangely, when I release the need to control what I get for giving, I get enough, somehow. The universe will always give back when we give without expectations. In order to help you to reach this state, I have made a list of 20 things you can do to show you care, without needing the recipient to return the kindness - twenty ways giving is its own reward. Maybe some of these will resonate with you. Or perhaps you’ll want to write your own list to spur the spirit of giving without expectations. {Although I’ve written you, these are things I try to do.} 1. Give the money you can spare to someone who needs it and then pretend you never had it. 2. Let someone tell a story without feeling the need to one-up them or tell your own. 3. Let someone vent, even if you can’t offer a solution, just to be an ear - without considering how well they listened to you last week. This is something that I experience a lot with my spiritual teaching work where I will allow students to vent. I will listen and send light but I will not reply with solutions. This sometimes helps in more ways than giving advice {sounds strange but it works}. 4. Help someone who is struggling with difficult feelings by admitting you’ve felt the same thing - without considering whether they’d be as open with you. 5. Ask, “What can I do to help you today?” Then let it go after following through. 6. Tell someone how you feel about them, even if it makes you feel vulnerable, just to let them know they’re loved and not alone. 7. Apologise when you’ve acted selfishly, even if you don’t like feeling wrong, because it will remind the other person they deserve to be treated with respect. 8. Let someone else educate you, even if you’re tempted to stay closed-minded because you value their knowledge and appreciate their willingness to share it. 9. Forgive someone who wronged you because you have compassion for them, not because you know they’ll owe you. 10. Hold someone’s hand when they feel vulnerable to let them know you haven’t judged them. 11. Give your full attention to the person in front of you when you’re tempted to let your thoughts wander just to show them their words are valuable. 12. Assume the best when you’re tempted to suspect someone for no valid reason - even if they haven’t always given you the benefit of the doubt. 13. Accompany someone to an appointment or drive them to an interview when they need support just to help them feel strong. 14. Change your plans for someone you love if yours weren’t too important without questioning whether they’d do the same for you. 15. Teach someone how to do something without taking a superior position because they’ve likely taught you many things, whether they were obvious or not. This is something all teachers and seekers should apply to their work. We are all the same and we should never see ourselves as being higher, better or superior to someone who comes to us for help. 16. Leave a thoughtful comment on someone’s blog, not to build your readership but rather to show them how they affected you. 17. Tell someone you believe in their potential, even if they haven’t always shown you the same support. 18. Say no when it would make you feel good to say yes because sometimes being kind means pushing someone to step up and try harder. 19. Tell someone you know they meant well instead of using their mistake as an opportunity to manipulate their guilt. 20. I’ve left this one open for you to write. How do you give just to show you care? Let’s face it: none of us is always kind. Human nature dictates we’ll act with one eye on what’s in it for us, at least occasionally. And I think that’s okay, as long as we make an effort whenever possible to do good for the sake of it. Releasing expectations doesn’t mean you give other people permission to treat you thoughtlessly. It just means you check in with your motivations and give because you want to, and then ask for things directly when you want them. People who care about you will be there for you in return.

  • The Fire Breath Chakra Balancing & Healing Technique

The following technique has been taken from the New Chakra Healing Activations that I channeled on the 19th February 2020. This exercise is a chakra healing and energy body oriented meditation. You will be breathing into each of your chakras and, as you do so, imagining the colours of that chakra illuminating with a bright, healing light. As you continue to breathe, you will move this beautiful energy up through your physical and energy body’s in circles so by the time it reaches your upper chakras it will feel like it has taken on a life of its own. Fire Breath is extremely relaxing, rejuvenating and healing for your chakras and your energy body, but it can also yield some unexpected discoveries. Emotions may move through you, often emotions you were not even aware that you were holding. You may want to release tears or express anger. While it can be performed with a client or consenting partner, I suggest doing it on your own first. Note: I will be mentioning the Kegal muscles in this technique. The Kegal muscles are also referred to as the pelvic floor muscles. This technique is also used in Tantric Healing but it does not have any sexual connotation. 1. Drop any expectations and put yourself in the mind-set and energy state of the feeling you desire. Let go of any attachment or expectation with regard to outcome. 2. Lie on your back with your knees up and feet flat on the floor (or bed). Relax your jaw. Breathe in through your nose and exhale through your mouth. 3. Imagine your breath filling your solar plexus like a balloon. As you exhale, flatten your lower back to the floor. There should be a gentle rocking motion within your pelvis as you do this. 4. Squeeze your kegals as you exhale. 5. As you breathe in, imagine that you are pulling energy from your root chakra, your perineum. You don’t have to push or pull the energy. It will follow your thoughts. 6. Next, inhale your energy from your root chakra up to your sacral chakra. Then exhale, circulating the energy back down to the root. Continue moving the energy between the root and sacral chakras by breathing in and feeling it rise, breathing out and letting it go back to the root. Repeat several times and you will notice it feels like the energy is moving easily and almost on its own. 7. Now enlarge the circle by breathing healing energy from your root chakra up to your solar plexus chakra, squeezing your Kegel muscles as you breathe out. Repeat this several times as well. When this feels complete, reduce the circle so that the energy goes between your sacral chakra and your solar plexus. 8. As you continue breathing and squeezing your Kegels, enlarge the circle of energy so that it moves between your sacral chakra and your heart. When this feels complete, reduce the circle so that the energy goes between your solar plexus and your heart centre. You are moving your energy from sacral to heart and solar plexus to heart. 9. Next make a circle of energy between the solar plexus and throat, followed by a smaller circle between heart and throat. When you reach the throat, make some sounds if you aren’t already doing so, anything from sighs to moans to “aahs.” This is liberating and helps move energy and create deeper chakra healing. The energy may start moving up the chakras in circles on its own as the momentum builds. 10. Breathe in, moving energy from the heart to the third eye, and breathe out and back down to the heart. Do this several times, followed by a smaller circle between the throat and the third eye. When you’re sending energy into your third eye, roll your eyes up (keeping them closed) as if you can see out the top of your head. This will help your energy rise and your chakras heal and balance. 11. The next circle is from the throat to the crown followed by a smaller circle between the third eye and the crown chakra. 12. Keep breathing and moving your hips and moving the energy in circles, giving your body the space to go through the full process of chakra healing and energy body rejuvenation.

  • How To Drop Into Your Next Meditation With Candle Gazing (Trataka Sadhana)

It can be difficult for some people to drop into a meditative state and to let their thoughts go. Candle gazing, or Trataka Sadhana, is one way to give your eyes something to focus on so you can get more from your meditation. Here's what it's all about, plus how to do it yourself. What is Trataka Sadhana? Trataka Sadhana, which loosely translates to "Gazing Ritual," is a practice within haha yoga that involves staring at a single point - often a flame. It originated in India and is thought to strengthen the brow chakra, as well as deepen meditation practices in general. Improving concentration and mindfulness is the object of this practice, and trataka sadhana remains an important tool in yogic traditions. It's believed that when the practitioner can fix their concentration on a certain point, all areas of their life will improve with their new, cleared vision and a stronger sense of awareness. How Candles Can Help You Drop Into Meditation There are a number of reasons candles are so helpful in meditation practice. One of them, of course, is they give you a point of focus: You can use the flame of your meditation candle to help you concentrate. Having a point of focus can help ease your mind from the energy of distracting thoughts. Connecting to the fire element, in particular, can also help you while meditating. The element of fire is a powerful tool for transformation. Your meditation candle can help you harness this energy to inspire personal growth. And not for nothing, the ambience candles create is relaxing and introspective, she says. One study even found that elderly participants who practised this method for a month had significantly improved cognitive function compared to the control group. What You Will Need For A Candle Meditation One of the nicest things about candle meditations is you don't need much more than a candle {and anything else you like to use to elevate your meditations}. It is highly recommended that your candle be "thoughtfully purchased/used" and created with natural ingredients such as soy wax and natural fragrances that will enhance your meditation environment. It's also a good idea to go for candles that burn slowly, she adds. On a positive note, I will soon be setting up a new Candle business where I make handcrafted Zen soy wax candles using 100% natural ingredients. A Short & Simple Candle Meditation Practice This meditation couples the power of fire with the power of the full moon, to release old energy and call in the new, bringing about meaningful shifts. Though it's geared toward the full moon, it can be done at any time: On this month's full moon, write down all the things you would like to release from your life - from emotions and habits that aren't serving you to toxic relationships, etc. Now, set up your meditation space with any of your favourite spiritual objects, dimming the lights if you can. Try to be somewhere quiet where you'll be undisturbed. Light your candle. If you wish, you can surround yourself with crystals and other objects to support transcending the circumstances written on your paper. Sit in your meditation space and breathe quietly for several minutes. You can reflect on what is written on the paper if you wish. When you are ready, say out loud, "With this full moon {or 'on this day,' if the moon outside isn't full}, I release all that is not in alignment with my greatest and highest good." Gaze into the candle flame and imagine these things that aren't serving you burning into the flames. In their place, envision the new energy that you would like to call into your life. Then, you can say {out loud or in your head}: "I welcome a new path, new energy, new connections, new experiences, renewed health, new thoughts, and new beginnings." Blow out the candle and give thanks and gratitude to the energy of the fire, and yourself, to close out the meditation. Tips For Candle Meditation Look with your third eye if your eyes start to hurt. If your eyes grow weary from staring at the flame, one way around this is to gently close your eyes and picture the flame in your mind's eye. Perhaps through your eyelids, you can still see the soft orange glow of the candle. Hold the image of the flame in your mind until you're ready to open your eyes again. Tap Your Intuition Tapping into your intuition to guide your meditation rituals. Meditation is a personal, introspective practice that is not one-size-fits-all. You will have an innate knowledge of the elements, crystals, and environment that you need to connect with deeper levels of connection and understanding. Don't Worry If thoughts Are Still Popping Up No one ever said meditation was easy, and while, yes, candle gazing can help you maintain focus and concentration, it does take practice. Thoughts may still pop up, and the key is to allow rather than resist them. Hold your gaze on the candle, keep breathing deeply, and when your mind wanders, know it's OK, let it go, and come back to the flame. The Bottom Line There are so many types of meditation out there, from vipassana to TCM. And again, meditation isn't a one-size-fits-all. Finding the meditation that works for you will help you better drop into your practice, and if gazing at a flame comes easily, it might just be the meditation for you. Enjoy your candle meditations and I hope you might feel guided to purchase one of my candles when the new website is up and running.

  • The Sacred Heart of Jesus

The month of June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart. Of all devotions, the Sacred Heart was, and remains one of the most popular among Christians and also non-Christians who wish to create a strong relationship with the spiritual practices of Jesus. Understood in the light of the Scriptures, the term “The Sacred Heart of Jesus” denotes the entire mystery of Christ, the totality of his being, and his person considered in its most intimate essential: Son of God, uncreated wisdom; infinite charity, principal of the salvation and sanctification of mankind. The “Sacred Heart” is Christ, the Word Incarnate, Saviour, intrinsically containing, in the Spirit, infinite divine-human love for the Father and for his brothers. Devotion to the Sacred Heart is a wonderful expression of our piety for Jesus. It calls for a fundamental attitude of conversion and reparation, of love and gratitude, and apostolic commitment and dedication to the true teachings of Jesus and his saving work. Twelve Promises of Jesus In the apparitions to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, Jesus gives promises to those who connect with and devote themselves to His Sacred Heart. I will give them all the graces necessary for their state of life. I will establish peace in their families. I will console them in all their troubles. They shall find in My Heart an assured refuge during life and especially at the hour of their death. I will pour abundant blessings on all their undertakings. Sinners shall find in My Heart the source of an infinite ocean of mercy. Tepid souls shall become fervent. Fervent souls shall speedily rise to great perfection. I will bless the homes where an image of My Heart shall be exposed and honoured. I will give to believers the power of touching the most hardened hearts. Those who propagate this devotion shall have their names written in My Heart, never to be effaced. Novena to the Sacred Heart A Short Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart Sacred Heart of Jesus, filled with infinite love, broken by my ingratitude, pierced by my sins, yet loving me still, accept the consecration which I make to you, of all that I am and all that I have. • Shinrin Yoku - Forest Bathing

Stress is a part of everyday life. But too much stress can take a toll on your mind and body. Feeling stressed for long periods of time can lead to depression, increased anxiety, and even physical symptoms, like body aches. One simple way to manage stress? Spending time in nature — or forest bathing. What is forest bathing? In 1982, the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries created the term shinrin-yoku, which translates to “forest bathing” or “absorbing the forest atmosphere.” The practise encourages people to simply spend time in nature - no actual bathing required. It’s also very low impact, which means you don’t have to go for intense trail runs or hikes. The goal of forest bathing is to live in the present moment while immersing your senses in the sights and sounds of a natural setting. The health benefits of forest bathing There’s a reason why the largest cities in the world have parks, trees, and pockets of nature woven throughout their busy streets. One study by the International Journal of Environmental Health Research found that spending time in an urban park can have a positive impact on a person’s sense of well-being. Aside from city parks, the more in-depth practice of forest bathing has been found to lower blood pressure, heart rate, and levels of harmful hormones - like cortisol, which your body produces when it’s stressed. This can help put you in a more calm and relaxed state. In addition, studies have found that simply spending 10 to 20 minutes a day outdoors can lead to increased well-being and happiness - and decreased amounts of stress. How to practice forest bathing While the word “forest” is in the name of this practice, don’t worry - heading out to a heavily wooded area isn’t required. You could take a trip to a nearby park, your favourite local trail, the beach, or any natural setting. Just be sure to turn off or silence your phone or other devices. The key is to practice mindfulness. That means being present and fully in the moment. Once you’ve arrived at your destination, take a few deep breaths and center yourself. Focus on what your senses are taking in - whether it’s the scent of clean ocean air or a chorus of chirping birds. Spend a few moments simply observing your surroundings. Sit and watch how the trees sway in the wind or simply walk around. If you decide to walk, go at a leisurely pace and without a specific destination in mind. It’s important to let your mind and senses explore and indulge. Safety tip: Always pay attention to your surroundings, stay on marked trails, and wear appropriate gear. Remember to consider things like sun protection and allergies. When possible, bring a friend or let someone know where you’re going and for how long. A good rule of thumb is to practice forest bathing for at least 20 minutes every day. If you don’t have that much time to spare, that’s OK. You can start with a shorter amount of time. Plus, the goal of forest bathing is to relax and detach — the practice shouldn’t feel like a chore. It should be an activity you look forward to and enjoy. Look for moments of wonder No matter how much time you spend outdoors, remember to look for moments that make you feel amazement - or awe. One study found that taking “awe walks” led to increased feelings of well-being and social connection in older adults. You can make awe walks a part of your forest bathing practise by looking at your surroundings with fresh eyes or taking a new walking path.

  • Discovering/Rediscovering the Rosary

Not a rosary person? No matter your beliefs, you may be surprised at the power of this famous tool. “Mary, she moves behind me / She leaves her fingerprints everywhere.” - Mary by Patty Griffin. I grew up in a Christian household but I didnt grow up praying the Rosary, this came much later on my life path. I had all kinds of stereotypes in my head about people who prayed the rosary and I was firmly “not a rosary person.” That is, of course, until I tried it. When I became a Spiritual Teacher, I discovered that my Christian faith could play a very important role in the work that I do as both a healer and a spiritual teacher. I was also blessed with being able to channel several attunements that came directly from Jesus and Mary, one of them aligned with the Rosary. Everything started to fall in place. I have also struggled with anxiety and depression for many years but as soon as I started to work with the Rosary, I found that the blessings of Mother Mary began to work with me. I started praying the rosary in the evenings. Sometimes it helped me quiet my mind and connect to my heart. The rosary gave me something to worry in my fingers. It was tactile, something to occupy my breath. When you are speaking, you are breathing words like a mantra. And the biggest gift of all, the one that surprised me most, was that it gave me something to do with my imagination - the mysteries from the life of Jesus that you imagine during each decade or set of 10 Hail Marys. And it takes a while to pray the rosary - at least 15 minutes which I thought, at first, was a strike against it, but it turns out it is a benefit because it creates the time necessary for me to settle into a calmer state before bed. Many have called it Marian Meditation which I feel is quite apt when using the Rosary for this reason. Before people had access to the written word, when books were still rare, the Rosary was sometimes called the “poor man’s breviary” because it had all the major Christian prayers {the Creed, the Our Father, the Hail Mary, the Glory Be, and the Hail Holy Queen} and took the person praying it through the entire life of Christ, one mystery at a time {the Baptism of Jesus, the Wedding at Cana, the Transfiguration, etc.}. A breviary is a book used by priests and religious practitioners that contain prayers for the church year. The rosary grew as a daily prayer for illiterate believers who would never own a book. The prayers, recited by heart, became the book. The people became the book. I love this. After meditating on each mystery, they become less like stories you’ve heard read aloud in a church and more like places you’ve visited in a dream. In any case, they’re a part of you.Practices like the rosary connect us to our ancestors, who are a great source of strength and intercession. For instance, the last words of the Hail Mary—“Pray for us now and at the hour of our death” were added during a different pandemic, the Black Plague. I feel connected to those who have gone before me when I take part in the practices that sustained them. I also feel connected to people around the world as every minute of every day someone in Nigeria or Belgium or South Korea is also praying a rosary. When Masses went underground or were outlawed, many Catholics would gather in secret to pray the rosary, so this can also be a resource for this time now when many churches are closed. In the beginning, as you’re learning the prayers and their order, it feels clumsy and unnatural. But as the structure becomes familiar, the words fall away, and you move into a deeper sense of being with God, in God. The mantra or prayers become a backdrop, and your imagination can move and play within each decade. The patterns differ slightly from place to place, but the basic structure is as follows: Begin with the cross; kiss it, and say the Apostles’ Creed and the Our Father. On the first three beads, say the Hail Mary {once for faith, once for hope, once for love}. Then the Glory Be. Then you move into the body of the rosary consisting of five decades of Hail Marys, before each set of 10 Hail Marys where you meditate on one of the mysteries of the Christian faith. If you’re doing the Joyful Mysteries, for example, you’re thinking about the Annunciation {the angel appearing to Mary}, the Visitation {a pregnant Mary visiting her sister Elisabeth for support}, the Nativity {the birth of Jesus}, or Finding Jesus in the Temple {after losing him for three days}. With the words in the background, my mind is free to meditate on these stories, and, as a result, I feel connected to the Holy Family - but especially to Mary - in new ways. I could picture her terrified but determined to be the mother of Jesus. I could imagine her giving birth. I could imagine what it was like to not be able to find your child for three days. And I could extend compassion to myself when I similarly “lose” Jesus. Her struggles encouraged me in my own. The rosary and praying to Mary gave me a relationship with her. Now, when I’m struggling to get through a hard morning because my mind is all over the place and I find that I’m having trouble giving myself permission to “waste time on myself” by simply relaxing, I sometimes pray a decade of the rosary as I sit down watching TV or meditating. I like to dedicate my prayer for someone’s needs. I find that when I am thinking about one of the mysteries, like Mary and Joseph’s fleeing into Egypt, while praying the Hail Marys, I can go that extra lap, feeling less alone in life’s challenges. After that, I am centered and I can just run. The arguments I was having in my head with people on the internet or my co-workers have gotten much quieter or disappeared. I can see and appreciate the finches and the shadows the pine trees make across the gravel and the storm clouds in the sky that obscure the mountains this morning and feel wonder and awe and gratitude for all of it - including my own body and life. If I recite Mary’s Magnificat or another line from Scripture in my head as I run wind sprints, for example, all of a sudden there’s this space and peace that before was filled with chatter or just wanting to quit. I can’t explain it, except to say that there’s something about Mary and about repetition, which can often quiet the mind just as well - or better than - silence. So, why not give the Rosary a try. You do not have the be Christian to pray it but I have a feeling that when you commit to the Rosary, it will become part of your everyday healing practices. Distant Attunements Now let's look at the Attunements that I have channelled for Mary and Jesus. Each attunement has been a real blessing to my own life as well as the lives of hundreds of students who I have taught about these energies since their creation. Below you will find a brief intro for each of the attunements plus a link to read the full listing. If you have any questions, I am only an email away and I will help as much as I can * The Blessings of Mother Mary and the Holy Rosary Empowerment The Blessings of Mother Mary and the Holy Rosary is a system that I have been working with for over a decade but it has taken a journey of Self Discovery, Worship and Devotion to Mother Mary and the Holy Rosary for this new attunement to come forth. There are no prerequisites for this attunement but I would suggest that you have a basic understanding of energy work and do not have a negative attitude towards Christianity because this system is heavily based on Christian doctrine. It is also recommended that you have a set of Rosary Beads or can purchase some Rosary Beads to use the 2nd level of this system. * The Blessings of the Sacred Heart Empowerment The Blessings of the Sacred Heart Empowerment has been in the making for many years. I first connected with the Sacred Heart in 2015 after spending several months battling depression, anxiety and severe panic disorder. It was during this time, that I reached out to Jesus for help. As I reached out for his help, I was blessed with an experience that I will never forget and one that I go into detail within the accompanying manual. The Sacred Heart is probably one of the most well known religious aspects of the Christian/Catholic faith but for many, it is believed that one has to be Christian or Catholic to receive the graces that are given from Jesus and the Sacred Heart. The Healing Energies of Our Lady of Lourdes I understand that not everyone will call themselves Christian and this is ok, as I previously mentioned, you do not have to be Christian or Catholic to connect with the fundamental aspects and spiritual energies of Mother Mary. Mary is the mother of all of humanity and it is through her presence that we can receive the blessings of sacred source and Master Jesus. This attunement is also a personalised healing system in that you can use the energies for any purpose that you need help with. You can use prayers for these blessings which are given within the manual or you can simply use your heartfelt intention and the etheric miraculous medal that is placed between your heart and higher heart chakras.

  • How To Send & Receive A Distant Attunement

I am asked on a daily basis how someone can send an attunement to another person. While most manuals will have an attunement procedure written at the end of the document, there are times when for a reason that is only known to the founder, the attunement procedure has been left out. When this occurs, I will always guide the student to use the "Intention Method". This is one of the easiest ways in which you can send an attunement to another person and as an added bonus, it can be used to send chi balls as well as passing the energies to someone at an appointed time. To send an attunement to another person, simply follow the below protocol. This is not set in stone so if you want to add to it or take something away, please feel free to do this. Adapt it to your needs and you will find just how powerful and easy it is to use Repeat the following once and have faith in your heart that the recipient will receive the energies: {STUDENTS NAME} I INTEND THAT YOU WILL BE ATTUNED TO THE ENERGIES OF {STATE ATTUNEMENT NAME AND LEVEL OR DEGREE IF NEEDED}. I INTEND THAT ON THIS {DAY, DATE} THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE THE STRONGEST ENERGIES THAT YOU CAN POSSIBLY HANDLE. I ALSO ASK THAT AS THIS ATTUNEMENT IS SENT THAT ALL OF OUR GUIDES, THE ANGELS AND ALL BEINGS OF LIGHT WHO WISH TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS ATTUNEMENT WILL PLEASE COME FORWARD AND STAND WITH {STUDENTS NAME} TO OVER-LIGHT THEM FOR THIS SACRED INITIATION. I ASK THAT A DIVINE UNIVERSAL ORB OF LIGHT WILL DESCEND UPON {STUDENTS NAME} TO OVER-LIGHT THEM AND PROTECT THEM DURING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THIS SACRED INITIATION. {STUDENTS NAME} AS YOU OPEN YOURSELF TO ACCEPT THESE ENERGIES I INTEND THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE THE STRONGEST CONNECTION POSSIBLE AND THAT THIS CONNECTION WILL BLESS YOU AND GUIDE YOU WELL ON YOUR SPIRITUAL AND LIFE'S PATH. The attunement will automatically start and will stop when the time is right. Please note that the time for any attunement to be accepted will differ from person to person. Some will accept energies very quickly and their attunement will be over in a matter of minutes, while for others it can last for hours or days. Please just accept whatever happens, for it will be unique for you. There is never any right or wrong way to work with energy. The attunement can also be sent to someone using the chi ball (call-in) method, and this is in all honesty my preferred method for this attunement to be sent. To use this method of sending the attunement is just as effective and all you need to do is simply imagine an etheric ball or capsule in front of you, then follow the above attunement procedure by placing all the information into this etheric ball. When you sense that the ball of light is full, you can imagine it drifting off into the ethers where it will wait until your student intends to accept the chi ball, which will then appear within the specified chakra where it will infuse its energies directly into it. We will now look at how to accept an attunement when there is not acceptance speech within a manual. To receive this attunement all you need to do is settle yourself either by sitting upright in a comfortable chair or by lying down in bed. Take around 5 deep breaths in, each for a count of 4, and then slowly exhale. On each exhalation imagine all negativity flowing out of you in a grey mist. After you have centred yourself or when you feel centred, please say the following or something similar: “I ACCEPT THE ATTUNEMENT TO THE ENERGIES OF {STATE ATTUNEMENT NAME AND LEVEL OR DEGREE IF NEEDED} WHICH ARE BEING SENT TO ME BY {TEACHER NAME}. I ASK THAT THESE ENERGIES WILL FLOW THROUGH ME WITH THE STRONGEST VIBRATIONAL FREQUENCIES THAT I CAN HANDLE AND I ASK FOR THE UNIVERSAL ORB OF LIGHT WHICH HAS BEEN CREATED FOR ME BY {TEACHERS NAME} TO SURROUND ME SO THAT I WILL BE PROTECTED AND BLESSED BY THE ENERGIES THAT I AM RECEIVING. The energies of this system will automatically begin to flow and will usually last for around 20 – 30 minutes. When you feel that the flow of energies has come to an end, reground yourself and thank your guides, archangels, guardian angels and all beings of light. As you accept this attunement you might occasionally feel a tingling or electric sensation within the palm chakras and heart chakra. When I have accessed the frequencies of this energy I will also at times experience heart palpitations but please do not worry if this happens when you are accepting the attunement. It is a physical manifestation of the energies correcting any defects and energetic blockages within the heart chakra area. Always accept whatever is given to you during your attunement. There is no right or wrong way to receive this connection.

  • Breath-work for Anxiety & Attunement

Breathwork is an active form of meditation in which you manipulate your breath to change the way you feel. You breathe on average 20,000 breaths a day, but not every breath is equal. Some breaths might be short and quick, actually contributing to stress in your body. Long, deep breaths help to regulate your body and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety. What Is Breathwork? Breath-work is an active form of meditation in which you manipulate your breath to change the way you feel. When you are anxious, you tend to take shallow, rapid breaths from your chest, and you may even start to hyperventilate. This increases your heart rate and creates muscle tension. Your sympathetic nervous system becomes activated. A surge of adrenaline and cortisol puts your entire body on alert. Poor breathing creates an imbalance in the oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange, which can contribute to anxiety, panic attacks and fatigue. When you shift your breathing to abdominal breathing (using your diaphragm), your body enters into a relaxed state. Your parasympathetic nervous system is activated. Your heart rate slows, which helps to reduce the feelings of anxiety. Having a daily practice of active breathing is an important component of reducing anxiety. 3 Breathwork Exercises to Help Reduce Anxiety Progressive Muscle Relaxation Relaxing your body helps to calm your mind from those anxious thoughts. It also helps to remind you what it feels like to feel relaxed. During this exercise, you're going to isolate different muscles from your feet to your head. Lie on your back. Inhale and tighten your feet while holding your breath for 5–10 seconds. Exhale and let go. Notice the feeling of relaxation as you take a few normal breaths Inhale and tense the next body part, your legs. Hold your breath for 5–10 seconds. Exhale and let go. Notice the feeling of relaxation as you take a few normal breaths. Continue focusing on each body part, tensing and letting go, until you get up to your head. (Tense your stomach, back, arms, neck, face.) Notice the relaxation after you exhale. Inhale and tense your whole body, holding for 5–10 seconds. Exhale and let go of any tension. Notice the feeling of total body relaxation. Diaphragmatic Breathing Diaphragmatic breathing helps to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, taking your body from the fight-or-flight response into the rest-and-digest phase. It reduces the stress hormone cortisol, slows down your heart rate, and helps you start to feel grounded and clear-headed. This technique helps you respond instead of reacting to a stressful situation. You can do this practice sitting or lying down. Rollback your shoulders; get into a comfortable position. If you’re new to this practice, place a hand on your stomach. Take a slow deep breath from your belly using your nose. You should feel your hand moving as your belly expands with air. Slowly exhale out of your mouth. Repeat the above at least five times or until you feel more relaxed and calmer. Box Breathing Box breathing is a technique used by Navy SEALs, ER nurses, and anyone who is looking to quiet their busy minds and get focused. It helps to calm the body and mind and alleviate stress. As you are breathing, you can imagine the shape of a box or square, counting to four and drawing each side of the box as you count. Sit in a comfortable position and begin: Inhale through your nose for a count of four. Hold your breath for a count of four. Exhale for a count of four. Hold your breath for a count of four. Slowly exhale. Repeat until you feel calm and clear. If you would like to incorporate attunements into your Breathwork and stress release, I highly recommend the Lava Stone Anti-Anxiety Empowerment which is a system that I channelled several years ago to help with my own anxiety condition. • Age of Empowerment

Back in the days when I first started to walk the spiritual path {pre-2000} many of us spiritual seekers could only utilise energy work by attending what was called a Mystery School. Those schools varied slightly in their offerings, however principally we would go to them to learn to master our energy, our "selves" and particularly our emotional nature. As a part of the learning curve, we would also go through what was called initiations. Initiations were essentially a trial or test to ensure you have mastered the requisite teaching. They were not so much about doing or accomplishing something; instead, they were about how you were {being rather than doing} during the experience. Initiations that were common to every single mystery school were based around the mastery of fear.. whether that was physically, mentally or emotionally induced fear. Fear was {and remains} the single most difficult emotion to master, and so many initiations would revolve around it. I remember one particular initiation from a past life in an Egyptian Mystery School where you had to swim through a pool of crocodiles. The visualisation based initiation wasn't about the physical aspect of getting to the end safely {though that was helpful}; instead, it was about mastering the fear of the experience and thus making oneself less of a "target". Master the fear and the crocs don't bite; succumb to the fear and ...well, you can guess the rest. Other initiations would have brought up natural and primal human fears too. One way of looking at initiation is that once you have gone through it, you change your perspective as you come out the other side literally with a new vibration. Once you have mastered the fear {literally or metaphorically staring death in the eye} then you can leave it behind, as you know within that nothing can ever touch your immortal being at the heart of you. Today we don’t have mystery schools in quite the same style as thousands of years ago. Nonetheless, initiations exist in the context of everyday life and in quite a similar format. The goal of those ancient initiations was to learn to transcend basic emotions, and most especially to master fear in all of its manifestations. Fear-based decisions attract fear-based circumstances - it's a simple energetic principle. And so the goal of the Soul is to put the personality in situations {initiations} where it can work through the fear....and there are plenty of everyday examples where that happens. They are inescapable in the course of modern life, for fear is rife, and especially so at this particular point in history. There is always a choice of going down the "enlightened" route i.e. recognising it for what it is {fear situation = potential empowerment} and following the route of no fear, or choosing fear {or inaction} which keeps your energy stuck and attracts more of the same at a later date. As I say, initiation examples are everywhere in the modern world, small and bigger. You might start to empower yourself and go to see a therapist/practitioner to work through fear, {or another kind of problem}, you might do that by yourself, you might stand up to the demands of an overbearing boss/partner, you might stand firm in the face of unreasonable demands from a corporate "giant", you might put yourself out there to speak your truth in spite of what others might think of you etc. Whatever the fear-inducing situation might be, these are all forms of initiation. Empowerment is there for the taking by potentially all of the people on the planet. It's just that most people are unlikely to either recognise or use the opportunity for what it is. If you align to fear and let your action {or indeed your inactions} be dictated by fear, then you get more fear. Cutting off the source of fear is a smart move. Too many people choose to remain beholden to the media which bombards wave after wave of fear at them, and thus they remain in that fear-full place. The process of spotting fear and refusing to obey it is an act of empowerment, that is an initiatory process in itself. It generates such positive energy within you that when you are able to live from that perspective and it is truly life-changing. It is a cue for true empowerment, mastery, Soul realisation and subsequent ascension. This is the age of empowerment ....self-empowerment... else is going to do it for you, though like-hearted souls/communities will undoubtedly assist you along the journey...and it is most likely exactly what you incarnated to do! So, enjoy it and embrace empowerment by the horns to enjoy the ride.

  • The Power of Prayer

There is strong scientific evidence indicating that faith and prayer may help us with experiencing greater health physically, mentally and psychologically. Many studies have been published in both medical and psychological journals supporting the positive effects of prayer and faith. But some of the studies related to prayer have mixed results depending on the type of prayer, the demographic and the methods and means its effects were being measured. So, it is important to follow these studies with a critical mind to be able to see why they came up with their conclusions. But overall most conclusions are supportive of the positive influences of prayer and faith on human health and functioning. When it comes to the types of prayer, there are different types. For the major religions like Christianity, Judaism and Islam, prayer is more focused on something "outside of the self," so they pray to God. But the more mystical traditions of these religions like Gnosticism, Kabbalism and Sufism, it seems like they are more focused on the "inside of the self" aspect of the prayer, believing that we all have divinity inside of us. And then there are Eastern traditions like Buddhism and Hinduism, which focus on mediation rather than prayer. In regard to science, studies done of brain activities on prayer and meditation have indicated that people who engage in these activities on a regular basis have a change in the frontal lobes. This is the area that controls concentration and focus. When one is in a state of deep prayer, the parietal lobe's power goes down, which can contribute to a sense of transcendence. Furthermore, it has been indicated that people who pray and meditate on a regular basis have some permanent changes to the brain. Self-aware people who have been meditating with a clear intention for 15 years or more seem to have a thicker frontal lobe than non-meditators. The frontal lobes are involved in motor function, problem solving, spontaneity, memory, language, initiation, judgment, impulse control, rationality and social and sexual behaviour. Prayer and meditation can influence our state of mind, which then have an effect on our state of the body. It can help with anxiety, sadness, blood pressure, sleep, digestion and breathing. It also can influence thinking. These over time, can change our brain activity and ultimately the subjective and objective experiences of us in the world. There are two general types of prayer: personal or individualistic and group or collective. Logically, if one is good, two is better. When a group of people meditate or pray together with the same clear intentions, self-awareness and enough focus and concentration, then the effect could be even more positive. Historically, there have also been social impacts to the collective prayers from the Baptist congregation to the Islamic Salaat. Now if you feel like prayer or meditation may be beneficial to you, a few points that you may want to consider while praying: 1. Based on my personal experience as well as information I have gathered through research on the subject, it seems like a combination of both collective as well as individual prayers may work more positively. You can expand your experience by mixing different methods of prayer and meditation that seems closer to your heart. As always, you have to learn the content of your heart by knowing who you are before you know what may work for you. The more self-aware you are, the more aware of your intentions you become and the more profound the result of your prayer would be. 2. If you are doing a personal or an individualistic prayer, focus and work on connecting to your higher self rather than functioning from your ego. Be clear with your intentions and why you are praying so there are no disappointments. In addition, set specific times and a safe and clean place that makes you feel good and helps you concentrate. Self-discipline is important. Also, what I have noticed work is that you can use your prayer time as your time to process your emotions. A place where you feel secure to cry, let go of anger, release stress and tension and let go of your unspoken words. Imagine yourself in a bubble of protective energy and just say what is on your mind, process and release the negative, focus on the positive and feel a sense of appreciation for the things you already have and may take for granted. At the same time, you can practice compassion and feel connected to something bigger than you. You can use tools to stimulate your senses and give you more of an internal focus; for example, lavender to stimulate your sense of smell, a flower or candle, or anything you value and gives your sensations a good feeling. This is your space, design it as you wish, but don't get attached to anything around you. Just connect, focus and feel protected. 3. If you are doing a collective or group prayer, make sure you join a group with uncontaminated and clear purposes. A positive group or institution would not make you feel like your beliefs or method of prayer are superior or "the only way to God." It is not focused heavily on the commercial aspects of selling spirituality; instead, it gives the message of global unity and encourages personal growth. In addition, such an institution or group supports individuation and accountability. At the end, as we are expanding, we need to focus on the unity of humanity as a species, and we need to form and find groups that encourage acceptance, productivity, positivity, accountability, tolerance and emotional and physical health. Join groups and institutions that welcome science and wisdom and look at spirituality as a whole. Try not to be attached to any specific group, just connect, learn and grow. If possible, try different institutions just to observe and learn from them. Find whatever positive you can get, while being objective and aware of any red flags. This will help you with your growth process. In the end, prayer and meditation are like anything else in life. If used with knowledge, awareness and the right intention, they can benefit you. But at the same time, they may become counterproductive if they give you a sense of false hope and radical optimism, or if they get you into a blind group attachment mode. They are positive if they help you with having more focus, having the motivation to find deep meaning, becoming more moral, patient, tolerant, accountable, responsible, objective and rational.

  • Wholeness of the Shadow in the light of the Full Moon

Wholeness is not achieved by cutting off a portion of one’s being, but by integration of the contraries. —Carl Jung We suffer, we hurt others and ourselves until one day we see our shadow in the light of the moon, in the light of the divine feminine. With new lenses, new compassion, new courage from our own inner work and our nightly dreams - we turn and face our shadows. With a sense of humility and humor, understanding is gifted to us, and then through us to others. We are driven to grow a practice of being still, as we understand that stillness is where everything begins. We embrace being present at every moment, and every dark moment, because we know gold may be found there for ourselves, someone else, or for all. With the psyche having found its true center, standing on a foundation of earth and inner connection - truly present, one day that inner voice begins to speak - that true Self begins to speak. This feels different from that voice of “God” you may have heard in a life-shattering desperate moment long ago, because it is that same divine but coming from within. You are not just in relationship to the divine, your body and the earth - you are in relationship with yourself - your inborn divine Soul Self. You are in relationship to the invisible glow of energy around you, and just like the shadow from the moon, it is not invisible anymore. We all had this sense of who we are, and were we come from for a short time in childhood. The principle of synchronicity acknowledges this inner world. When the moment is right for us to hear, to see – we hear, we see what has always been. It takes readiness from our inner work, to hear the deep meaning of our Soul beyond ego, a growing consciousness. Synchronistic energetic meaning lands when we are “present,” we are reminded, and we remember deeply who we are and that we part of something greater. “Our ancestors knew that the silence is not silent, that the darkness is luminous. We must be alone if we are to find out what is that supports us when we can no longer support ourselves. Only this experience can give us an indestructible foundation”. This foundation supports you from within, links you to transcendence, re-frames the perspectives received from your history, and provides the agenda of growth, purpose, and meaning that we all are meant to carry into the world and to share with others.” - James Hollis, Second Half of Life.
